salam again :)

it's surah 24 verse 31 ... wouldn't you agree that hair is 'adornment'  .... & when that verse was revealed Aisha(rAa) said the women tore their 'murat' a dress or waist-sheet & covered their heads & faces (Bukhari, vol 6, hadith 282)

we all agree that they were the best generation & if they understood this to be the correct meaning I'm sure they were right :)

there are loads of ahadith here .. just scroll down ..

http://www.answering-christianity.com/niqab_yes.htm

& also surah 33 verse 59 :)

it all goes back to the original Quran & the words in Arabic & what they mean ... like 'jilbab' & 'yadneen' & 'khimar' :)

I hope that helps :)

salam Laila :) how are you ? :) hope your school work is going well :)

I just read a comment you wrote on one of your pics that u just learnt that covering the hair isn't obligatory in Islam ... do you mind if we talk about that ? you know whenever you read anything you have to find proof in the Quran & you should read the tafsir of the verses too ... this is a great site you can do that from ...

http://www.islamicstudies.info/?topic=quran

& you should also read the ahadith about the subject & also read what various scholars have to say about it .... that way you'll be sure that the opinion you follow is correct inshaAllah :)

based on the Quran & ahadith all scholars say we have to cover our hair ... it's the covering the face & hands that they differ about .... those that say we don't have to cover our hair are groups that follow their own interpretation of the Quran & reject the ahadith .... may Allah(swt) guide us all to do what will please him inshaAllah :) if you want to talk I'm here almost everyday :) salam :)

honey, im not judging u. im asking u simple questions. if u dont want to answer, just say it so. im not patheptic here and i have common sense to understand things. just here, i do not quite get why do some girls while they r hijabi, yet they show off their hair, neck on sem-hijabi pix. and please dont say that "u inspire girls to wear hijab" (thats what i read on ur previous pix, cuz its not quite the exact way to wear hijab. and im so sorry to say, but they way u pose on ur pix r beautiful and attractive. and u know that hijab is all about modesty. my dear one, im wAllahi not judging u, im just saying that, this "art" is something that has been created by wester country . and not always its what Muslimah should follow.
