About Me:
A'salaamu alaikum ya'll! I am a Muslim convert southern born and bred. I would like to make new friends and insha'Allah learn more about our deen. I have been blessed by the birth of my daughter, Aaminah. I also have two sons, Alexander and Zachary, from a previous marriage who live with their father and are both wonderful boys masha'Allah. Our dog, Nova (a rat terrier/beagle) rounds out our family.
Hobbies:

I have been blessed a thousand times over by Allah subhana wa ta'ala and always I think...why? What did I do to deserve this life? We all know if we got exactly as we deserved (and received no intercession by the grace and mercy of Allah) we would be lost.
I received a life-saving kidney transplant in 2002 and alhamdulillah I am very healthy now. I have been blessed with two wonderful boys and a beautiful brand-new baby girl alhamdulillah. I have friends and family, a roof over my head, food to eat. There is no end to the blessings that have been given to me. But the greatest is having been led to Islam, being directed to that straight path that will lead insha'Allah to Jannah. For this I am the most grateful.

Books:
I love to read! Since my conversion I try to stay away from novels but do read semi-fictional historical books (NOT romance novels!) such as those by James Michener. I love to read Islamic literature, especially that which pertains to women, family, and children. Astaghfirallah I do not read Qur'an as I should and I want to make it a goal to read a certain amount everyday. Please make du'a that Allah strengthens me in my purpose insha'Allah.
TV:
I really enjoy documentaries, nature programs, historical shows, and true reality shows; the ones that are on TLC or Discovery. I do have a couple of guilty pleasures that shall remain UNNAMED. lol
Interests:
I like reading, cooking, camping, crafting/cross-stitching, spending time with family and friends, learning about Islam, learning about anything new for that matter, and volunteering in my community. (A friend and I began a Muslim Girl Scout Troop 3 years ago masha'Allah and it's very rewarding.) I love being a mother and insha'Allah would love to be a wife again.
As Salaamu Alaikum,
We have something in common, I love to read about literature that pertains to women as well. As far as reading Qu'ran. I catch the bus to work in the morning and that is when I read Qu'ran. What else could I possibly be doing on a bus. First thing is the morning when your mind is most receptable. Try that and see how it works.
You said you would like to be a wife again? Have you remarried? Insha'Allah being a wife to a good brother is the most wonderful experience!
