About Me:
السلام عليك ورحمة الله وبركاته As-Salaamu Alaik. My kunya is Abul-Hasan. I am an Egyptian/African-American born in the U.S. I am in college studying Computer-Science. I find happiness and peace (both blessings from Allah, walhamdulillah) through understanding tawheed: understanding Allah's lordship over His creation; His names and attributes; and that to Him alone is worship and submission due. That it is He, most high who sustains me and provides for me, not my employer. That it is He who is The Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, so that I know to seek relief and forgiveness from Him. That to Him alone is my worship and submission, which liberates me from submitting to any will other than His. Indeed, from the signs of happiness of the believers are that when we are blessed, we are thankful to Allah. And when we are tested with trials and difficulties, we are patient. And WHEN we sin, we seek the forgiveness of Allah, Most High (see blog). I pray that Allah makes us from these, Aameen.

Hobbies:
الكتاب, والسنة علي فهم السلف الصالحين I am just a Muslim trying to be just that: one who submits to the will of Allah. I enjoy being around those who assist me and encourage me in this; those who share it as a common goal. So that we may race together as Allah says: "...so strive as in a race in good deeds." (5:48) "Race one with another in hastening towards Forgiveness from your Lord (Allah), and towards Paradise, the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases. And Allah is the Owner of Great Bounty." (57:21)

Books:
القرأن الكريم تفسير ابن كثير صحيح البخاري صحيح مسلم رياض الصالحين الأربعون النووية كتاب التوحيد أصول الثلاثة

Music:
I listen to lectures of the callers to ahlus-sunnah wal-jamaa'ah (Abu Mujaahid Fareed Abdullaah, Abu Muhammad Al-Maghribee, Abu Uwais [rahimahullaah], Abu Hasan Somaalee, and many others known for their correct aqeedah, and calling to the da'wah). Also, I enjoy Arabic poetry compositions about Islam, and of course the recitation of the Qur'an. Here are some websites I frequent:
SalafiCast.net
SalafiAudio.com Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawzîyah rahimahullah said: These are the words of someone who fully understood singing and its effects, for no one regularly sings or listens to song except that his heart falls into nifâq without him realizing. If such a person understood the reality of nifâq and its end he would see it in his own heart. Never do the love of song and the love of Qur`ân come together in a person’s heart except that one expels the other. I and others have witnessed how heavy the Qur`ân feels to singers and song-listeners; how they coil when it is recited and how they get angry with a reciter when he recites too long for them (in prayer etc); and how their hearts do not benefit from what he recites: they are not moved to do anything by it. But when the Qur`ân of Shaytân comes, lâ ilâha illallâh! How they lower their voices and settle down! How their hearts feel at peace and how the crying and emotions start, how moved they are inwardly and outwardly and spend on clothing and perfume and staying up hoping for a long night ahead. If this is not nifâq then it is certainly the way to it and its foundation.

As salamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh,

A short reminder for verily reminding benefits the believers.

Thinking Ahead for Prayer

Abû Al-Dardâ’ – Allah be pleased with him – said: It is from a person’s knowledge and understanding that he sees to his needs first in order to turn to his prayer with a heart free of distractions. Ibn Al-Mubârak in Al-Zuhd wa Al-Raqâ’iq Vol.2 p726

A short reminder. for verily reminding benifits the believers.
Take the Quran

Abu Al-'Âliyah reports that a man once asked 'Ubay b. Ka'b – Allah be pleased with him – for advice. He said:

Take the Book of Allah as your leader (imâm) and be pleased with it as a judge and ruler. It is what your Messenger left amongst you. It will be an intercessor for you. It is to be obeyed. It is a witness never doubted. In it is a mention of you and those before you, and judgment for whatever happens amongst you. And in it is news about you and whatever will come after you.

Al-Dhahabî in Siyar A'lâm Al-Nubalâ', in the biography of 'Ubay b. Ka'b

Salaams just a little somethin to help us out.

Son, have you put it into practice?

'Atâ' narrates that there used to be a young man who used to go to Mother of the Believers 'Â'ishah to ask her questions and she would narrate to him. One day, he came to her to ask her some questions. She said, "Son, have you put into practice what you hear from me yet?" He replied, "No mother, I have not." So she said, "Son, why do you them seek to increase Allah's proof against us and you?!"
