I consider myself a "Muslim Goth" that means being Muslim first and Goth second, because serving Allah is more important than the subculture I ascribe myself to. Though I see many difficulties in mixing Islam and Goth, insha'Allah I will endure as a Muslim in my duties to serve Allah and be able to keep my unique personality as well.

Walaikum assalam :) Yes, you're right. But it's not just the Muslims who don't always understand that Goths aren't evil people. People should know that being a Goth doesn't equal being a Satanist or something similar. At least I define 'real Goths' - those who aren't posers - as intelligent and considerate.

Dear Brother Argus, welcome to Islam - I also congratulate you on being steadfast in your faith and being very honest about what you think - I believe that we can be friends as the books and authors you mentioned are my favorite - If you wiould want to read books on the life of Prophet Mohammad pbuh, please be very selective I refer to you a book by Martin Lings a British convert to Islam. Martin Lings has a unique "extremely readable" style. The Second book is from Fetuhallah Gulen a Turkish religious cholar - Both these book are award winning books.

Yr blog - how i cam to Islam - brought tears to my eyse,, Alhamdullelah , he has guided you to the right way Instead of taking you away ,becauce of the sep, 11 caction , some one else would go far away , as normal could be . but Allah merci had prought you to the peacfull field of Islam , Al Hamdullelah plenty times, Alhamduleeah tell he accept us , alhamdullelah after he accepts.
