Central President Speech on 32nd founding anniversary
Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir began its journey on February 6, 1977 from the Dhaka University Central Mosque with an aim to produce honest, efficient and patriot citizens for building up a prosperous Bangladesh.
Today, we have stepped into the successful 33rd years of journey. On this occasion, we congratulate the countrymen. We remember the founder of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, proclaimer of independence Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Mawlana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani, Hossein Shaheed Suhrawardy, Shaheed Abdul Malek and all martyrs of 1971 Freedom War and 1952 Language Movement for whom we have achieved the independent Bangladesh.
We pray for the departed soul of 131 martyrs and expect their utmost dignity to Allah as standing on their great sacrifice; Chhatrashibir is now the biggest student organization in Bangladesh. We pray for good health and best rewards for them who had been injured and lost parts of their bodies in the way of Allah.
We express sympathy for the families of martyrs specially those of who were beaten to death in the broad day light on October 28, 2006. Our sympathy is for those mothers who still spend sleep-less night weeping and praying for their martyred child to Allah.
Today, we will not claim that we were hundred percent successful in performing our duties. Our own mistakes, limitations and reverse circumstances have made the distinction between the expectations of the people and what we have achieved.
Our mistakes are originated from young age. Even though we can undoubtedly say that the sum of our achievements are huge. It is the responsibility of the student community, well wishers and the countrymen to judge our performance.
We regret our mistakes and apologize for those unexpected faults to the students, well wishers and other people.
Our 32-years of journey have now anchored in a delightful arena defying all propaganda, brutalities and oppressions by evil forces.
